Targray Technology, world leader in the manufacturing and supply of consumables for the optical media industry announces an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Röhm, Darmstadt / Germany. Röhm is a 100 % subsidiary of Degussa, the global market leader in specialty chemicals and plastics. Under the terms of the agreement, Targray will distribute Degussa's EUROPLEX PC 0F405 film material for cover layer through its worldwide sales force and channels.

 

EUROPLEX PC 0F405 film is a thin gauge polycarbonate film with superior optical characteristics which is used as the cover layer film in single or multilayer Blu-Ray Discs, or other multilayer optical media.  Europlex film is extremely durable and exhibits excellent cutting & die cutting behavior which is ideally suited for Blu-Ray discs.

 

Degussa EUROPLEX film offers the following product characteristics:

 

• Very small thickness variation

   

• Excellent dimensional stability

   

• Low birefringence

   

• High impact strength

   

• Available in thicknesses ranging from 30 um to 100 um
