Targray Technology offers Peak Sun Phosphorus Oxychloride, the highest purity N-type dopant available to the solar cell manufacturing industry today. Peak Sun’s POCl3 is 7N (99.99999%) purity and available in two grades: Standard and Five-Star. The Five-Star grade product has even lower levels of trace elements than the standard grade. It reduces variability in bin distribution, increases minority carrier lifetimes and provides consistency in the diffusion process. For manufacturers, this means improved bin distribution, higher conversion efficiencies (CE) and lower manufacturing cost per watt.

Applications

Peak Sun’s experience and manufacturing capabilities have enabled them to make the best quality POCl3 in the world for PV applications. Phosphorus Oxychloride (POCl3)is liquid phosphorus used as an N-type dopant in tube diffusion processes for silicon wafers. It is used to form the N-Type emitter of P-N junctions and to getter impurities in 6N mono and multicrystalline solar cells. Peak Sun’s high purity 99.99999%, 7N, reduces variability in bin distribution, increases minority carrier lifetimes which contribute to higher conversion efficiencies and provides consistency in the diffusion process.

Packaging

  • Distributed in industry standard 1.5L quartz bubblers.
  • Bubbler is fitted with a hermetic break-seal to ensure product integrity.
  • 2,250 grams of material per bubbler.
  • Bubbler technology compatible with all current makes of temperature controllers and tube diffusion furnaces.
  • Packaging, double bagging, visual leak indicators, and break-seal bubbler guarantee integrity of product during transport and storage and ensure safety on manufacturing floor.
