Encapsulant
In partnership with The Dow Chemical Company, Targray offers a high-quality, polyolefin-based encapsulant material specifically engineered to provide improved productivity, reliability and service life for photovoltaic modules.

This innovative thermoplastic material delivers excellent adhesion performance and a low water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) for long term protection of rigid, thin film and flexible module components. Improved lamination performance provides a potential for module manufacturers to realize shorter lamination cycle times on existing capital, resulting in a lower cost per watt.
| Features | Benefits |
| No cure time or cross-linking required | Potential for shorter lamination cycle |
| Low water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) | Improved barrier to moisture which protects efficiency over time Potential to eliminate edge sealants which can reduce material and manufacturing costs |
| Higher melting point | Built-in thermal resistance Allows higher lamination temperatures with less risk of bubbling Potential to decrease lamination time without impacting adhesion performance |
| No acetic acid release | No risk of module component corrosion from acetic acid Less risk of encapsulant discoloration that can reduce efficiency over time |
| No refrigeration required for storage | Reduced storage costs |
