Montreal, Canada – Targray has announced its partnership with Electric Mobility Canada (EMC), the national industry association dedicated to accelerating the adoption of electric transportation across Canada through advocacy, collaboration, education, and thought leadership.
As an EMC member, Targray will work alongside automakers, charging infrastructure providers, utilities, fleet operators, governments, and technology companies to help advance Canada’s transition to zero-emission transportation while supporting the continued growth of the country’s electric vehicle charging ecosystem.
Targray’s Environmental Commodities division provides commercial and regulatory solutions that help EV charging network operators, site hosts, fleet owners, property managers, and other charging infrastructure owners generate and monetize credits under Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR). By managing data collection, reporting, verification, and credit commercialization, Targray enables customers to unlock new revenue streams from eligible electric vehicle charging activity.
“Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important component of Canada’s clean transportation economy,” said Andrew Richardson, President of Targray. “We’re pleased to join Electric Mobility Canada and contribute our expertise in environmental markets and regulatory compliance to help organizations maximize the value of their charging assets. Through programs such as the federal Clean Fuel Regulations, EV charging infrastructure can generate meaningful new revenue while supporting Canada’s broader decarbonization objectives.”
The federal Clean Fuel Regulations create an opportunity for eligible EV charging infrastructure owners to generate compliance credits based on the electricity supplied to electric vehicles. As EV adoption continues to accelerate across Canada, these credits are becoming an increasingly valuable financial incentive for charging network operators, commercial property owners, fleet operators, municipalities, and other organizations investing in charging infrastructure.
Targray supports customers throughout the entire credit generation process, including metering requirements, data management, regulatory reporting, credit creation, and market access. The company’s deep expertise across Canadian environmental commodity markets enables customers to maximize the value of their environmental attributes while remaining compliant with evolving regulatory requirements.
“Electric Mobility Canada brings together the organizations shaping the future of transportation in Canada,” Richardson added. “We look forward to collaborating with fellow members to expand EV infrastructure, support transportation electrification, and help organizations capitalize on the economic opportunities created by Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy.”
Founded in 2006, Electric Mobility Canada is the national voice for transportation electrification, representing organizations across the electric mobility ecosystem through policy advocacy, research, education, and industry collaboration.
