Erik Rietkerk
Global Head of Agricommodities and Co-Head of Biofuels & Feedstock
Erik Rietkerk is Targray’s Global Head of Agricommodities and Co-Head of Biofuels & Feedstock. Leveraging over 30 years of experience in commodity trading, he is based out of the company’s office in Geneva, Switzerland.
Over the course of his career, Erik has assumed leadership positions for multinational corporations across a wide range of industries which include oil trading, chemical/pharma, agribusiness, tank storage, renewable energies, energy commodities, and food ingredients. He possesses a strong background in growing and integrating multi-asset operations and optimizing process industry businesses in oil and fats, oleochemicals, and biodiesel. Beginning in 2018, Erik served as CEO at Argent Energy, a European waste-based biodiesel producer. He led the company through transformation initiatives while heading its overall strategic direction.
Erik’s resume also includes lengthy stints at two well-known global commodity trading companies. In 2002, he assumed the role of managing director at Mabanaft GmBH, where he oversaw operational management, trading, distribution and contracting of oil activities. In 2008, he joined Wilmar Europe Holdings B.V as a managing director, leading its European Trading team and overseeing functions such as HR and Risk Management.
In his role at Targray, Erik provides overall strategic direction with a specific focus on commodity trading and growing the company’s European Biofuels and Feedstock business.
