Solar Wall Panels

Mitrex solar wall panels are an innovative BIPV solution designed to minimize energy consumption, heating costs and carbon emissions throughout the colder months of the year.

This BIPV sytem allows building owners and operators to improve heated air ventilation air without having to incur additional energy costs or increased carbon emissions. Moreover, the panels require minimal maintenance over their lifespan.

Available in a variety of profiles and colors, Mitrex solar wall panels bring a measure of architectural quality and versatility that helps to set them apart from comparable BIPV solutions on the market.

BIPV Solar Facades

Mitrex BIPV Solar Facades use the power of the sun to produce clean electricity. These innovative products feature various backing systems, allowing for lightweight, high-strength panels.

Each facade features a layer of solar cells fixed with a customizable facing, recreating any pattern or color while allowing for energy generation. These panels also provide thermal resistance in addition to exterior noise control while ensuring durability and safety.

Solar Facade Layers

Mitrex cladded panels are an energy-efficient solution for both existing and new building facades. The panels offer limitless applications from a design and building perspective. They help transform typical, single-purpose building materials into multi-purpose cladding that acts as an energy generating building envelope.

Custom Designs and Patterns

The adoption of solar panels as BIPVs (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) or BAPVs (Building-Applied Photovoltaics) has been historically constrained by poor design features and limited optionality. A significant advantage of our BIPV and BAPV panels is that they are entirely customizable. Therefore, the products can achieve the look of any surface material, pattern, texture, or image desired, including granite, porcelain, brick, wood, or customized graphics.

Texture Options

Using textured glass facing, Mitrex solar wall panels can simulate a broad variety of building materials. Textured glass diffuses or reflects more light, meaning the panel is less efficient. However, the texture can help give the facing a more natural look and feel.

BIPV panel facing glass options include low iron, matte solar glass, pyramid solar glass, wood glass, rain glass, and satin lite glass. Although efficiency is impacted, meaningful power generation contiues to occur, and beautiful aesthetics will increase the likelihood of adoption.

BIPV Installation

Mitrex provides complete installation services through certified partners, including insulation, mounting, electrical connections, and finishing.

From pre-panelized and prefabricated wall assemblies to slab-to-slab connections or embedding into curtain walls and window walls, our cladding solution has been incorporated into projects around the globe.

Flexible Procurement Options

Whether it is power purchase agreement (PPA) or a standard purchase, our procurement solution makes it possible for a range of buyers to embrace BIPV technology. We offer standard supply only purchase options as well as economical turnkey service options.

25 Year Warranty

Mitrex BIPV panels are supported by a warranty guaranteeing hardware performance for 25 years and a subsequent minimum efficiency of 80% thereafter. This ensures that beauty and efficiency will be preserved for the lifetime of the building envelope.

BIPV and Traditional Cladding Compared

Mitrex BIPV solar wall panels compete favourably with non-solar cladding solutions—namely ACM, precast concrete, and other types of cladding panels.

They are superior to ACM panels with regards to quality, durability, strength and customization options. They are lighter and easier to install than precast concrete panels. In addition, our BIPV panels are fade-resistant and virtually maintenance-free.

Even after decades, the BIPV facade will look the same as day one, which makes them a fantastic choice for any building, whether it’s a new build or retrofit.
